Website For Dog Lovers Helps Pet Parents

Throw The Perfect Pet Party

Phoenixville, PA-9/15/2008 – Baby showers and birthday parties are no longer reserved for human children. Pet parents are now celebrating their “children’s” milestones in style. From simple backyard celebrations to elaborate affairs, pet parties are now standard affairs.

Rub My Belly Too (http://www.rubmybellytoo.com), a website that specializes in dog information and products, is a great place for pet parents to start their planning process. The website offers invitations for puppy showers, and doggie birthdays.

Fran Gratton, the website’s founder, says “I started this website because I love dogs. I have heard over and over that if you do something you love and are passionate about, it doesn’t feel like work. I’m passionate about dogs.”

To make sure the celebration is fun for everyone, Gratton offers the following tips:

Be Picky About Who You Invite – If the guests are growling and fighting, no one is going to be in a party mood. Make sure the dogs you invite have already made friends with your dog.

Feed Everyone Separately, But At The Same Time – You wouldn’t expect your human guests to eat out of the same bowl, so don’t expect your doggie guests to, either. You don’t have to go broke buying fancy serving dishes; heavy duty paper plates will work just fine.

Keep Your Guests Occupied – If you put a bunch of children together at a party and didn’t have any activities planned, they would get restless. Your animal guests will behave in the same manner. Have enough doggie toys on hand so that everyone can play and have fun. Other ideas include setting up an obstacle course or having a fashion show.

Gratton has plenty of experience behind her, as she has bred and trained dogs for almost 25 years. Her future goals for the website include adding information about shelters, rescues, day care and trainers, as well as other dog themed products.
