Dog Resorts around the United States

Do you have a pampered pooch? Then there is a place for them to continue that life of luxury when you are home or on a vacation. Luxury pet resorts have sprung up all over the country and are making millions.

Dog resorts were created especially for pets. Dog resorts offer private rooms for canine guests complete with luxury pet beds and televisions. Some places even offer limousine pick up and drop off after a day or a weekend of sun and fun at the resort.

Are you on vacation and want your pet to have some alone time? Check out the Perfect Pet Resort in Annapolis, Maryland. The resort offers state-of-the-art luxury accommodations for your dog. Your pooch will have the option of acupuncture to relieve his stress or a hydro-massage. Pets can also take advantage of the indoor heated dog walk complete with sky light. The rooms are actually suites with luxury dog beds, a myriad of toys, and Animal Planet on the television.

If that sounds swanky, check out the Top Dog Country Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dogs can be seen lounging around and in the heated swimming pool. Staff members throw balls into the pool for dogs to catch. A guest at these digs can also enjoy a spa day complete with manicure and pedicure and nail polish! The food is top-shelf and freshly made biscuits are served each morning.

No expense has been spared for the bungalows where dogs lounge while watching television, eating treats, or listening to music. Bedtime stories are read over the loudspeaker each night to ready the guests for bed. The cost can run in excess of $100 a night for your pooch.

In Pennsylvania, you’ll find Mazzu’s Canine and Feline Hotel in Philadelphia. This pet resort is for the most discriminating of pet owners. Dogs are treated to a suite complete with platform bed, a wide selection of toys, a television with DVD player, all the bottled water they can drink, feedings, two dog walks, a trip to the dog park, maid service, and twenty-four hour care. This is the basic package. Suites run from $155 to $185 a night. A fillet mignon dinner is served for an extra $25.

Also in Pennsylvania you will find the Cozy Inn Pet Resort and Orchid Spa in Pittsburgh. The basis of this resort is feng shui for your dog. The health of a dog is more than just food and water. Guests’ needs are met on many levels: physical, mental, spiritual, medical, and emotional. Guests can enjoy a relaxing session in the pool or whirlpool. If that’s not enough, they can choose between a sports massage and a Swedish massage for relaxation. Hot oil treatments are offered as well. Whatever your dog needs, it will not be denied in an attempt to achieve overall happiness.

Best Friends Pet Care has two locations in Pennsylvania: Chadds Ford and Willow Grove. Basic room rates run up to $40 a night and include food, lambswool bedding, and room service to the spacious two room suite. Pet packages are offered in addition to the boarding rate. Your dog can enjoy doggy desserts, ice cream, cuddle time with a staff member, and an upgrade to premium bedding. If bedding more than one pet there is a discount.

Dog resorts are for the elite owners who treat their pets like people to the owner who wants their pet to experience the best life has to offer. Save up for your dog’s foray into luxury just like you do for your own vacation.
